General Meeting
Thursday April 18th — 7:00 PM @ Hal Holmes
Raptor Rehabilitation
Kittitas Audubon Society has enjoyed a long relationship with the Blue Mountain Wildlife Organization and their Raptor Rehabilitation program. This includes sometimes sending injured birds to them!
For our April program, they have graciously agreed to visit with us via Zoom from their home in Pendleton, OR. The presentation will include a slide show about Blue Mountain and their mission. We will then “tour” their current facilities and hear about additions that have been made in response to Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza.
The talk will also include an overview of their education programs, and how they are tailored to meet the needs of specific groups. Of course, there will be a lot of talk about birds, specifically the types of raptors under their care.
We’ll meet their “Ambassador Birds”, as well as hear about exciting plans that they have for the future. They invite and welcome all of your questions! The presentation will be shown on “big screen” at the monthly meeting at Hal Holmes, 7pm on 18 April. Everyone is welcome, there will be plenty of refreshments and good conversation! Come see and appreciate the work of this good organization!
If you are unable to attend in person, you may attend via zoom. Contact boardmembers@kittitasaudubon.org for the details prior to the meeting.
